- 1 lb white asparagus or green asparagus
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)
Peel white asparagus and trim the ends. For green asparagus, snap off the tough ends.
Bring water to a boil, adding sugar, salt, and lemon juice. Boil asparagus for 5-7 minutes.
