Ingredients
  

  • 4-5 lbs beef brisket
  • 2 tablespoons beef bouillon powder
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup beef broth

Instructions
 

  • Pat the brisket dry and coat with olive oil.
  • Mix the seasonings and rub them onto the brisket.
  • Let the brisket rest for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat oven or smoker to 275°F (135°C) or 225°F (107°C).
  • Cook the brisket for 6-8 hours, basting with beef broth if needed.
  • Rest for 30 minutes before slicing.
