- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup beef tallow melted
- 2 tablespoons honey optional
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Place skillet in oven to heat.
Whisk dry ingredients in a bowl.
Mix wet ingredients in another bowl.
Combine wet and dry ingredients.
Add beef tallow to hot skillet, then pour in batter.
Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden.
